Off to Vancouver in April/May 2010

So it seems that we are going to Vancouver in April/May, right after Marina finishes her MMus, to check it out. Here are a few photos I took when I was in Vancouver in the Summer of 2004.

View from Stanley Park (on the edge of downtown). You can see a bit of North Vancouver on the left.

English Bay. Stanley Park on the left. That's the Pacific right there, sheltered from storms by Vancouver Island. Due to the unique shape of the seabed just off Vancouver, it is quite shallow and the water warms up nicely (17 - 19C). It's not the Mediterranean, but it's the equivalent of what we get near Lisbon. The water is pretty clean, too.
