Philosophy of Emotions
Last week I met my teaching assistant. A very nice guy, a PhD student working in ethics. He told me that students who take this course are mostly doing psychology degrees and have very little patience for the more technical details philosophers obsess about. So I going to try to make it fun for everyone. For the first session, they only have to read a mini-paper written by the Vasco, listen to a mini-lecture, watch Clockwork Orange and argue about emotional manipulation. My assistant will be in there (perhaps pretending to be a student!) arguing against me, in case everyone agrees with what I say (my worst nightmare).
