Weekend in Toronto

We stayed at Sarah's, in the Cabbagetown area of Toronto (name comes from when poor Irish immigrants planted cabbages in their backyards to have something to eat - during the Great Depression, I think)

This area of the city is great. Lots of art galleries and cool cafes. It reminds me a lot of Brick Lane in London (UK) but it's more upscale.

Inside Balzac's. Very nice cafe.

My birthday gift from Marina and Isabel. A japanese tea pot. This thing weighs a ton. It's made of cast iron. I didn't take this photo but mine looks just like this one.
