Inuk

Inuk is 10 years old and he is a very good boy. He is a Honda Civic with a 1.6 engine and 106 hp. He should be able to use no more than 6.5 l of gas per 100km on the highway. He is black - the left door and rear quarter panel are glossy black, the rest is matte black. I don't know whether the matte is intentional (there are flat, satin, matte paints) or whether it is just a poor paint job. I am inclined towards the former rather than the latter, actually. We are planning a course of action to make Inuk all shiny again.

The last two owners were French postdocs who took good care of the car. Inuk has traveled 198000 Km to come to us.

Inuk is a 1999 model, but he only went on the road in 2003. 161441 km later he had a crash and was badly injured. He needed to have an engine transplant. He was then bought by an Arab who kept it for 2 years but only drove it occasionally. Then he was bought by the first postdoc.

Inuk means "person" in Inuktitut and is the singular of Inuit (people).
