Moving to the US? Scratch that!

Just spoke with an American friend who pays $350 US a month for health insurance. She says that's a standard deal. That's nuts! Plus companies will refuse to insure you if you have health problems. Oh great... They will pay for your bills so long as you have none.

Here in Canada we pay $100 CAD a month (although Marina's insurance is covered by her scholarship) for basic coverage (which is free for residents, of course). For an extra $50, we get pretty decent coverage.

Following this, I went to watch Michael Moore's Sicko. Watching it right now...Funny how one of the interviews is in London, Ontario, right in the Sherwood Forest Mall (where we do our shopping).

Already know that Canadians live 3 years longer than Americans...
