North American houses

I have posted a photo of the house before, but this may be a better angle. You can see that the side of the house is made of wood. Most cheaper houses are partly made of bricks and partly made of wood or different sorts of plastic (yes, the outside walls are made of plastic!). In my view, this is great. Why spend 30 years paying for a house that lasts 5 or 10 lifetimes? We only live once. It's important that houses are cheap so you can get a good place when you are young. and broke. If later you want and can afford a better house, just knock the old one down, choose a new one from a catalog and build it from scratch in a few weeks. Sure, you can have an architect design your house, but I like the catalog option. It's quick and cheap, so you have the possibility to spend your money on movies, eating out and travelling. One of these houses costs the same as a cheap one or two-bedroom apartment in Lisbon.
